Backflow Testing

In the United States, and in the State of Texas, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) holds local water suppliers responsible for maintaining purity in potable water systems. The Texas Commission of Environmental Quality requires annual testing of all backflow prevention assemblies. The most common backflow preventers are the Reduce Pressure Principle Device (RP), Double Check Assembly (DC), Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB), Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB), and Spill Resistant Pressure Vacuum Breaker (SVB)
